• Presentation Abstract:
  "Only complete the hard transformation from chrysalis to butterfly can a larva performs the miracle of life and only finish the delicate carving and polish can a jade reveal the sparkle of art." In this ever-developing era of information technology, information-supported services are gradually demonstrating their great vitality and irreplaceable features in many service industries (particularly in the financial and banking industries) under the combined influence of customer needs and market environments. Then, how to conduct the centralized processing, cleaning, transforming and storing of basic data loosely distributed in so many complicated transaction systems such as banking operation and channel transaction systems and establish the indexes according to their logic relationships, so as to transform the data into management information and make it play a key role in banking services and management decisions like a "transformed larva" and a "polished jade"? Through sharing information on the implementation experience of Data Warehousing and BI projects and the planning process and current condition of the data service system at China Everbright Bank under its growing strategy of "Customer-centered, Service-oriented", as well as through the thinking and exploring of the future data warehouse potentials and the data services’ supporting role at the bank, we hope to draw a right blueprint with Teradata’s assistance in terms of the implementation and development of the data warehouses and data services in China.

  With 10 years IT service experience in China Everbright Bank and the Bank of China, Mr. Liu took the responsibility of the fundamental data platform (EDW) project deployment in China Everbright Bank since 2005, and has profound practical experience in the fields of EDW, CRM, data services and business intelligence.
